Qualifications and skills

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Bachelor of Computer Applications / Master of Computer Applications

0-2 years of professional software development experience

Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills

Familiar with building complex web applications using Angular, Java and Spring, Kafka

Experience with designing highly interactive web applications with performance, scalability, accessibility, usability, design, and security in mind

Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test-driven development

Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational and Graph databases

Ability to work in an Agile environment

Knowledge of Scala, and Python programming languages is a plus 

Knowledge of development tools such as Git, Jira, Bitbucket

Familiarity with CI frameworks such as Jenkins, Grafana, Docker, Kubernetes

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

Mentoring and support both within in the immediate team and in the wider Blue Planet organization

Independent working with strong collaboration within a global team

Attending calls, presenting work, discussing with project stakeholders

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform

Design, develop and execute software solutions to address business issues

Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design

Strong communication and presentation skills.
