Ford IT in GBS is a growing MPP organization focused on delivering software, leveraging Extreme Programming (EP) and cloud technology. In this environment the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair, working and developing tested code, based on proven Lean/Agile methods. Engineers on the team, work across the full stack of technologies, to enable the highest priority work to be delivered with the greatest quality in the shortest time and in small blocks. “Small” is the key to the process: small teams delivering small functionality blocks and having smaller review timeframes.
Area of professional exposure (technical skills)
Good hands-on experience in iOS application development.
Strong knowledge of the usage of design patterns (Coordinators, Delegates, etc) and architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc)
Strong knowledge of using standard UI components and ability to create custom UI components.
Strong ability to work with CoreData, Keychain, and APNS.
Knowledge of reactive programming using RxSwift, RxCocoa.
Experience in consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience in scripting and fair knowledge about various CI/CD Systems.
Hands-on experience working for enterprise applications.
Strong intent to have complete code coverage using XCTests.
Awareness of extreme programming principles like (TDD, Pair Programming, etc)
Strong OOPS knowledge and awareness of SOLID principles and their applications.
Ability to write UI tests using XCUITests.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
